How to Install

Follow this steps if you want to install investOS in Virtual Machine

Download the InvestOS ISO File. Visit the official InvestOS website at investOS.site and find the link to download the ISO file. Save this file to your computer for the installation process.
Create a New Virtual Machine.Open your Virtual Machine software, such as Oracle VM VirtualBox or VMware. Create a new virtual machine and set the operating system type to Linux with the Ubuntu version for InvestOS compatibility. Allocate memory (RAM) and storage capacity as needed.
Select the ISO File as Boot Source. In the virtual machine settings, go to the Storage or Boot Disk option, and select the downloaded InvestOS ISO file as the boot source for installation.
Start the Virtual Machine and Follow Installation Process. Start the virtual machine, and you’ll see the InvestOS installation screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your language, time zone, storage partition, and other settings until the installation completes.
Reboot and Set Up InvestOS Account. Once the installation is complete, reboot the virtual machine. You will be directed to the InvestOS login screen. Create a new user account and perform the initial setup to start using InvestOS.

How to install (dual boot)

Follow this step if you want install investOS in your PC (Dual Boot)

Prepare a Partition for InvestOS. Before starting, make sure to create a separate partition on your hard drive where InvestOS will be installed. In Windows, you can use Disk Management to shrink an existing partition and free up space. Allocate at least 20-30 GB for InvestOS.
Create a Bootable USB for InvestOS. Download the InvestOS ISO file from investos.site and use a tool like Rufus (for Windows) or Etcher (for Linux/Mac) to create a bootable USB drive. Select the InvestOS ISO and your USB drive in the tool, then start the process.
Boot from the USB Drive. Restart your computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing keys like F2, F10, or Delete during startup). Change the boot order to prioritize the USB drive, then save and exit. Your computer should boot from the InvestOS USB, bringing up the installation screen.
Install InvestOS on the New Partition. Follow the on-screen instructions in the InvestOS installer. When prompted to choose an installation type, select “Install alongside existing operating system” or choose the custom/manual option to select the partition you created earlier. Complete the setup by following the remaining prompts.
Configure the Boot Loader. After installation, the bootloader (GRUB) will be configured automatically to allow you to choose between InvestOS and your other operating system each time you start your computer. Once installation finishes, remove the USB drive, restart your computer, and you should see the GRUB menu, where you can choose InvestOS or your primary OS.
